After a very enjoyable day for all those who attended congratulations must go to all those who took part in what was a day of very high quality Bowls, Snooker & Dominoes but especially :-

The President (Steve Denny) who won the Bowls in a very close game with Ken Harpen
Doug Shearer who won the snooker in a final with Harry Ashworth
and Keith Taylor (who was a very welcome guest for the day) who won the Dominoes competition in a final with Phil Axon.

Spring Open Day

Don’t forget the Spring Open Day is being held at the Club this Saturday (25 April).

A sign-up sheet is on the club noticeboard as usual and it looks as though we’ll have a decent turnout.

Bowling green now open

The club bowling green was officially opened on Saturday, VP Rod Sugden sent the first wood across the green for the nearest the edge competition, but a superb wood from John Hill saw him take the prize.

Numbers were a little down on previous years as it was the Easter bank holiday weekend but a good number of games were played, the weather was kind, and as always with the opening of the green a few complaints of aching muscles were heard.
