St. Annes District Club is a traditional gentlemen’s club owned and run by the members. We are a friendly group, free of political or religious influence, and a warm welcome is guaranteed.
The Club is situated in the heart of St-Annes-on-the-Sea on the Fylde Coast in Lancashire.
At St. Annes District Club you’ll find:
- One of the best bowling greens on the Fylde coast.
- Two full-size Snooker tables.
- A TV, reading, and games room (darts, dominoes, etc.).
- A well-stocked bar and cellar, including hand pumped real ale, and comfortable leather seating.
- A large and well appointed sun lounge which overlooks the green.
- Parking for more than 30 cars (free of charge to members and visitors).
Members are given their own key and allowed to use the club at hours to suit themselves.
Events are arranged throughout the year, from catered evenings in to trips out, so new members are soon integrated and existing members are kept occupied.
The bowling green and snooker tables are popular for impromptu friendly games and regular handicap competitions. Members also have the opportunity to represent the club in the local leagues (with all levels of ability catered for).
Our only restriction is members must be men of good and courteous conduct.
A prospective member normally requires a proposer from amongst the existing membership with whom they are well acquainted. Though Council will consider applications from unknown individuals on a case by case basis.
N.B. County membership (at a reduced subscription rate) is available to applicants who live more than 25 miles from the Club. Applications from people who own holiday accommodation in Lytham St. Annes will also be considered.
To find out more, or to apply for membership, please contact the Club Secretary.
The Council is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Club on behalf of the members and is elected from amongst the membership at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The Club President is the honorary leader of the District Club, presides over our formal events, and ensures the spirit of the Club’s constitution is maintained. The new President is confirmed at the AGM and is responsible for selecting his Vice president (who will become the next President).
